Superb belt sander fits belt sander

I've had mine for a year now. He's spent a lot in a bag this year as I don't need one all the time but when I wanted to he did everything I needed and more. I originally bought it to sand the floor. The floor dates from the 1930's and looked like it could have been a good floor but part of it was covered in some kind of varnish and part of it was faded from over 90 years of sunlight. The paint bonded the sanding belts together at an alarming rate, but after scraping it off with a hand scraper, the belt sander came into its own. Although the planks weren't completely level, the sander did a great job removing the stain and faded surface of the wood, revealing the beautiful golden color underneath. It's a bit tricky to get into the corners, but it wasn't a problem for my purposes because I sanded the floor before installing the baseboards. I'd be a little wary of going straight to the corners if those corners were pre-finished baseboards. The next big thing I did with it was take apart a few cabinets and polish them. The first was a small bedside table, the second was a large one that I kept and kept in the barn for decades. The bedside table was pretty basic, I just had to strip the badly scratched paneling down to the bare wood so I could restore and paint it. The large block took a while as the floor paint glued the straps together, but once the grinder was up and running it did the job with ease. which means you get less sawdust in your work. Just think of the total current - I used outlets on different circuits to make sure nothing was overloaded. Replacing straps is as easy as you can imagine. Emptying the sawdust bag is easy. The thing is quiet enough, but if you use it for a long time, especially if you use a vacuum cleaner, you will need earplugs. The weight distribution is good - I felt I could do it. with one hand and he shows no sign of trying to lean to one side or the other. Before deciding on this product, I looked at several others that didn't seem balanced to me. You can also flip it over and use it as a static grinder by moving a smaller piece across the band. He's surprisingly stable. It seems easy to replace the brushes in the motor. I haven't had to do this yet, but it seems like it's designed to be easy to use. It gets hot if you leave it running for a long time. I think most things with motors do this.
