Received today, works great! I was aware of the shortcomings of teleconverters (lack of AF above f/5.6, loss of 2 stops, etc.) but I was pleasantly surprised. This particular model works with EF and EF-S lenses without modifications. Another surprise: This TC is recognized and multiplies the focal length in the EXIF data accordingly. Kenko's literature and specs said this wouldn't happen with EF-S lenses, so I wasn't expecting it to work, but it did. The literature expressly states that this product is only suitable for original lenses from Canon and Tokina. I used the following lenses: EF-S 55-250mm IS II 4-5.6 EF 85mm 1.8 EF 70-300mm III 4-5.6 (the images posted are of this lens at 600mm and 800mm respectively). 300mm) Camera body: EOS Rebel SL1, EOS 40DA All lenses had autofocus at the low end and had to use manual mode instead of f/8. Overall I couldn't beat the price and the EF-S compatibility was a plus as I have no plans to upgrade to a full frame camera.
