Image quality ruins

Totally ruined image quality, distorted image with blur and double vision, avoid this teleconverter.

2x Extender - Camera Lenses

Works best with manual focus and using a tripod with cable release. This way you get great shots and double the effective length of your lens.

more zoom moon and planets.

This Kenko teleconverter looks fantastic. This is the best way to get more magnification when trying to see the moon and planets with your DSLR. You can stack multiple teleconverters to get more magnification. Because it's such a bright target, light leakage isn't a problem. This teleconverter is some of my favorite photography gear for NASA's upcoming Artemis lunar mission in 2024. I highly recommend. I combine my Celestron 8se with teleconverters to my Canonical Rebel 6T. This setup offers a…

Camera metering mode and autofocus issue

Compared to more expensive products and telephoto lenses, this is a cheaper alternative and generally works well, but there are a few things to note.1. Autofocus works great, but not like that. I've always had some focus lag, especially in low light, a moving subject, low contrast, or backlighting. I missed some good shots because of this delay.2. I mounted it on a 70-200mm f/4 non IS mounted on a Canon 6DM2. While everything else looked fine, the camera's metering mode wasn't as stable during…

Received today, works great! I knew it .

Received today, works great! I was aware of the shortcomings of teleconverters (lack of AF above f/5.6, loss of 2 stops, etc.) but I was pleasantly surprised. This particular model works with EF and EF-S lenses without modifications. Another surprise: This TC is recognized and multiplies the focal length in the EXIF data accordingly. Kenko's literature and specs said this wouldn't happen with EF-S lenses, so I wasn't expecting it to work, but it did. The literature expressly states that this…

Doesn't work as described. Don't waste your money

Bought this lens for an African photo safari. I read the reviews beforehand and bought it with some hesitation, realizing the potential limitations of this type of lens. Thought it would still be a useful device for traveling with distant wildlife shots. However, I was wrong, the lens was a waste of money. I used it with my Canon 70D with two different lenses, an 18-135mm telephoto and a 55-250mm telephoto. The autofocus function did not work on either lens, even in bright daylight. Manual…

Overall very pleasant. in lenses

I use a Canon Rebel SL1. I bought Kenko 1.4x and 2.0x for comparison. At 2.0x, autofocus works with my EFS 50mm 1.8 lens when using the screen for viewing, but not when looking through the eyepiece (very strange, but true). Autofocus is unstable with my EFS 50-250mm IS lens; IS seems to work fine. Overall, I'm very happy with the image quality so far. Edge to edge feels super sharp. Seems almost as good as without. The big challenge is to keep getting great shots all the time. My IS 55-250 is…
