Bad smell! for air purifier parts and accessories

I installed a new filter and immediately noticed a bad smell in the room. Thinking it needs a "breaking-in period" I let it run for 2 days with the window open. Today I tried again with the window closed. Same bad smell. Not bad, but noticeable. I had to send them back and look for a replacement.

Pros

Activated carbon filter absorbs odors from pets, cooking, smoking, wildfires and harmful VOCs
