Spent hours enlarging the side holes to fit the "regular" mounting screws of a 3.5 inch hard drive. As other reviewers point out, the holes are significantly smaller than typical HDD screws. They drill holes for the same screws used to attach the 2.5 drive to the tray. Another problem, attaching an SSD to this Adapter, causes the SATA/Power interface to be in the middle of the adapter. If you have exact SATA cables (like Apple computers) with limited cable length/placement, it definitely won't be consistent. At best, the connectors will be stressed . Sense. I would strongly advise against buying them. The price is great, but it's just not worth the hassle
