I switched from 4790k to this one. I have a 980ti (literally waiting for the 3080 to come out) and I think my 4790k was the bottleneck because NOW the GPU is maxed out. I get way more FPS even in heavy games with the graphics card simply because the CPU pulls everything 980 can give. That was amazing! I thought the 4790k and 980ti would be the perfect unbottlenecked marriage. Now I'm more worried that 3080 will be too much for 9900k. I'll get back to you as soon as I have it when they're finally back in stock and let you know. Obviously this processor has MUCH more headroom than the 980ti, but does it have more than the 3080!?!?!? THAT would really be something if it happened.
