Setting ultra no problem

I am upgrading from i7-9700f with rtx 2070 super as an example on COD Warzone I had to do everything on low graphics with low FPS to avoid burning the CPU. NOW I can run anything on Ultra settings at 200+ FPS while other apps are open in the background and not even using half the CPU usage. I am beyond impressed with this processor

It's 9900k, what else do you need?

I would 100% recommend this to anyone who already has a 300 series lga1151 board or an older board with a modified BIOS. If you are building a new system I would recommend going with the 10700k as it has a better clock profile, is usually cheaper and has a slightly better upgrade path. The one I have seems to be able to run at 5.1GHz. with -2 AVX, 49x (4.9GHz) cache, 1.35V offset, and it works seamlessly with a 32GB Samsung B memory kit at 3600MHz cl16-16-16-36. I made some changes to the…

Beastly Computers & Accessories

I switched from 4790k to this one. I have a 980ti (literally waiting for the 3080 to come out) and I think my 4790k was the bottleneck because NOW the GPU is maxed out. I get way more FPS even in heavy games with the graphics card simply because the CPU pulls everything 980 can give. That was amazing! I thought the 4790k and 980ti would be the perfect unbottlenecked marriage. Now I'm more worried that 3080 will be too much for 9900k. I'll get back to you as soon as I have it when they're…

Not as fast as I expected!

Processor came earlier than expected which is a plus! Performance wise, well after reading the reviews here and elsewhere on the web. I expected better speed when I went from i5 to i9. I notice a big difference between my old i5 laptop and this 9th gen i9, but between a 9th gen i5 and a 9th gen i9. I don't see a big difference. If you think you can use your old i5 fan with this chip think again, I had to buy a bigger fan as it keeps overheating and shutting down my computer. Now everything is…

Great processor, but DON'T FORGET TO UPDATE THE BIOS!

So I made a big mistake installing this processor without updating the BIOS to the latest version. Apparently the voltage used for this processor is different from that required for the i5. Without a BIOS update, the motherboard would not know what voltage to apply to the CPU, and it would constantly crash when using the CPU. So, after a few hours of research, I went to my motherboard bios page and there is an update log that specifically mentions a fix to fix the i9 voltage. After installing…

Great processor! Make sure your mobo and bios are up to date!

The irony is I just wanted to replace my game controller but then I fell down the rabbit hole and next thing I know I've spent an obscene amount of money doing it and a major update to my old familiar setup. In any case, the plan was to max my current build so I can live the next few generations until the prices get corrected. The motherboard I chose for my budget build had plenty of room to upgrade, and I decided to make the most of it, so I had no choice but to build a new PC from scratch the
