I installed them on my b8.5 s4 with h8 led fog lights and my main problems were 2: a) bulb failure and b) resistive heating. I'm glad they not only eliminate lamp bugs, but also the resistor bank. Doesn't generate the heat of melting wire or plastic. In continuous operation for about 10 minutes, the resistance block stayed below 36 degrees Fahrenheit - only on the "top" and center of the block. The bottom of the resistance pack was still about 86 degrees Fahrenheit. So if you need to adjust it, the bottom of the block is the colder side (I have another machine that I had to adjust different resistors to correct hyperblink and those resistors run over 220 degrees Fahrenheit - same time frame (yes , I understand it's a completely different application and different bulbs, but the heat issue was still my problem for both of these types of setups. Tomall h8 resistors run colder.)
