Save money and save the planet

My wife and I have very different tastes in coffee, so the K-cup concept works very well for us. However, with prices ranging from 0.35 to 0.55 cents per cup for K-Cups (wholesale), we spent nearly $2 on coffee every morning. PLUS, the world is literally buried under single-use plastic waste. These reusable K-Cups were the PERFECT answer for us. Each of us has 2 cups every morning. We clean them all at once (which takes about 1 minute for all 4) and they're ready to use the next morning. I'm also amazed how long 2 pounds of coffee lasts. I'm pretty sure they more than paid for themselves with the first 2 pounds of coffee we bought (dark roast for me, medium roast for her). The next time I go shopping for coffee, I plan to calculate how many K-cups we're getting per pound. To be honest it's not a problem and I wish we had done it a long time ago. works perfectly! For the sake of a smile, I did the math on how many true K-cup refills I can get from a pound of ground coffee. and the answer is 38. It's not just that 38 fewer K-Cups end up in landfills. that's a huge cost savings. The best deal on K-Cups at Costco is $0.35 per cup, with "named brands" including around $0.55 per cup in bulk. Oooh, 38 disposable K-Cups range from $13.30 to $20.90 in bulk. A pound of good coffee costs between $5 and $8, depending on the brand. Save up to $15.90 for 38 cups (1 lb.). and at least $5.30. Just do it . Reduce waste, save money and it only takes about 2 minutes to hand wash all 4 reusable cups.
