As some people have mentioned in the comments, compacting ground coffee is key to making great tasting coffee. If you overfill and compact the coffee grounds in the k cup, the water will not filter through the coffee and will overflow the top of the k cup. These reusable mugs work great. Insert straight into the machine and the mesh is super thin so you won't get any sediment in your coffee until you spill something on the lid. My biggest concern is that the coffee will weaken, but that's not the case at all. I think it tastes better than always throwing it. They work great. I also put in a paper filter before filling and there is virtually no mess! You can use them as is but I prefer the paper filter as it helps with less waste in my sink and old pipes. Been using it for about 2 months now, EVERY DAY. So far it has worked super duper well. I drink 3 to 4 cups of coffee daily, after grinding the beans (4 measuring cups, medium grind, NOT superfine grind) it fills exactly 4 capsules!
