Fuel cell still contains fuel
Lid cracked on first day of use. After changing the fuel filter three times in less than 100 miles, we finally found the deflector failed and removed it. As long as the cell still contains fuel. Ignore the sand in the second picture as the foam from the filter fell to the bottom so there was no sand in the filter (just foam from the baffle). The third shot was taken after the first to show how much of the crumbling partition remained in the filter after all the contents of the second had already come out.
