the hard line seems solid and the calibration hole is finely cut
overall everything is fine. The hard line appears solid and the calibration hole is definitely threaded. HOWEVER, the 3/8" threaded hole was not tapped properly. I tried fitting 3 different -6AN to 3/8" NPT adapters (Earl's, Russell and Red Horse) into a 3/8" NPT female connector screw and they won't engage more than 1/4th of the thread Recut the hole and everything seems fine Maybe it's just a manufacturing defect but it should have been easily caught by QA.
