Quality block to support two different sized ladders
Very good quality product. Judging by the build quality, it's made in the USA. It was probably made in China though. I can not remember. I had to install this item in a 30 year old garage with 2" x 4" trusses stretching overhead. I used a 2" x 6" Douglas fir board placed on top of the bottom truss boards to more adequately support the weight of the unit and ladders. I substituted the quarter-inch x 2-inch bolts secured with nylon locknuts in place of the clamp bolts to support the unit. Then use 3" wood screws to attach the 2" x 6" board to the crossbars. Very happy with the product and the ease of installation. Managed to install a very long ladder on one side and only a 6 foot ladder on the other. This did not lead to any problems with the stability of the device.
