Review on McDavid Back Ice Wrap: Cold Therapy with Compression for Sprains, Muscle Pain, Bruises & Inflammation + by Kevin Bucher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Innovative, inexpensive, easy to use, low maintenance, works as one of the best ice therapy methods. Highly recommend

Have you ever tried strapping an ice pack or bags to your knee or back. It will not stay, will be too cold or not cold enough to be of use. You can spend money on those pain-relieving patches or electrical tricks, but hot or cold, depending on the injury, works best without the chemicals. If I had known about it when I tore my meniscus last year, I would have gotten this version. Instead, I took a regular ice pack and tried to wrap it around my leg with a towel. It was almost impossible to keep him in place. They make versions for knees, shoulders, ankles and elbows not just the back, very good idea I'll have to get some of the more common versions for future ailments. Stretchy straps allow for both compression and cold to reduce swelling. The back version here comes with an extra large 10 inch ice pack to effectively cover the lower back. Other versions range from 7" to 9" and most have two packs for each side of the joint. Price per bargain at $35-40 for each of the five versions Recommended both now for an injury or sprain and as a preventive measure when you need it post-workout or accidental sporting or non-sporting injuries.

Pros
