My husband and I bought these for our cars. I already had a phone mount in my car that I liked, but when I upgraded to a larger phone it barely fit. We use it with an iPhone XS Max in a slim bumper case with a pop socket on the back to hold the phone in place. We are very happy with that! UPDATE 11/24/18: We now use these mounts with Loopy cases and the phone is still very secure. We still just slide the phone into the cradle and hold the loop on the back of the case to straighten it out a bit. We now have the latest version for the vent (see 4th photo). My husband has a max size phone (first 2 photos) and I have a smaller one. We both have Loopy cases and the phones stay in the holder by simply flattening the loop. The unlock button in the new version is also much better!
