Review on Slice 10537-CS Safety Blade for Seam Ripper – Never-Rusting, Durable & Finger-Friendly – Lasts 11x 🔪 Longer Than Steel – Pointed Tip – Fits Seam Rippers and Craft Handles – Pack of 24 by Karla Richter

Sharper point than the blade that comes with Slice seam ripper handles.

This tip, 10537, has a sharper point than the 10536 blade that comes with the Slice handle. The original round-tipped blade is too rounded to fit through all but the biggest stitches, but you'll have a hard time finding a way to draw blood or cut through fabric. The blade of 10537 is sharp enough to go through most stabs, but sharp enough to stab yourself while working on it. 10537 is not as sharp as the terribly sharp "surgical" suture ripper, which has a razor-sharp surgical steel blade that can easily cut tissue or cut your finger. After ripping yards of stitches with this blade, I see no signs of it dulling; A 4-pack can be a lifetime supply. The blade fits Slice seam ripper handles and many other Slice handles, but the tang is too wide to fit a typical X-Acto handle. and has no keyhole slot for surgical handles. So if you don't have a slice grip you may need to play around with dremel and/or epoxy to change the grip. I have not attempted to cut a ceramic blade.

Pros
  • Safety Cutting Blades The unique blade may look blunt, but cuts through the thread for your safety! Slice blades are finger-friendly and feel secure.
