Review on KeepKey Simple Cryptocurrency Hardware Wallet by Tammy Hoeft

I would rate this item a little over 4 stars for reasons I will explain below. Overall, I'm glad I bought this wallet. It was very easy to set up and I had no trouble getting it to work on my Macbook. The Google Chrome extension makes it easy to connect to KeepKey and the entire installation/configuration took about 15 minutes including a KeepKey software update. This allowed me to create several different bitcoin wallets. I was able to consolidate all my wallets in one place including Dogecoins and Litecoins. We hope that this will allow the use of Monero and Ethereum in the near future. The USB 2.0 cable that came with the device is terrible. I thought my wallet had a short in the connection as it kept losing connection to my computer. I replaced the cable and fixed the connection problem. I would also recommend getting a screen protector as the screen scratches more easily than any device I have ever owned. I bought an iPhone screen protector and cut it to fit the button display. I would recommend doing this before using KeepKey at. I look forward to seeing what updates become available for this device and hopefully in the near future. There is a video of someone inserting the dongle into their mobile device so hopefully it will become available to the general user and hopefully work on other devices like the iPhone. It's worth the investment knowing my coins are safe and not being stored on an exchange site that could close any day. I rated the key just over 4 starts because it is very fragile. I would still recommend Keepkey.
