Installation was easy, I had to double up on the 1/2" standoffs for the magnets to clear the windows in my 04 Ram doors, it's all part of the installation non-real speakers.I use an older Kicker ZX 100w/ch RMS amp.The same amp worked with my 20 year old Boston Acoustic 6x9 which sounded tired and the tweeters broke years ago.a quarter turn from the previous setting to get the same volume as the old Bostons and they don't have the warm sound I had before (the old Bostons are hard to beat for sound quality) However they handle the power much better, produce MUCH more Bass (lowered the crossover to 70Hz compared to the 90Hz I set the Bostons to), and with some adjustments to the crossover and EQ I was very nable to that ahe coming .sound so i'm not totally disappointed. I'm really impressed with how well they reproduce low frequencies without distortion. You just need more energy to do it. Overall I am happy and satisfied with the purchase. They're not as efficient as the specs would suggest, but with some sound tweaking, they turn out to be really good speakers. UPDATE: Almost a year later, they're still working. They broke really well and the sound warmed up a bit from my original rating. So far very happy with the purchase and the quality of these speakers. Even my brother sold a pair after hearing them in my truck. Also of note is that I thought I had a 100w/ch amp and found that I had upgraded that amp to the 150w/ch version a while back. These little ones are BEAUTIFUL!
