So after a month of rain and heat and about 2000 miles they feel great. I have cleaned the area where I attached them very well and see no signs of them coming loose. Wash normally first, then wipe a few times with denatured alcohol/acetone 50/50, then pure acetone before sticking them. I used one of the silicone screw clamps on each end to make sure the ends weren't a problem. Also, prior to installation I covered silicone with a small section of heat shrink tubing on each end to ensure a watertight seal as some here have mentioned that this is an issue. I don't see condensation.
