I currently live in an apartment building with 5 large floor to ceiling windows in my living room. Unfortunately, instead of an amazing view of the beach, we enjoy city life with a constant parade of dogs unashamedly parading proudly for us. Luckily I found a sufficiently long window film at Mykomer. The day my package arrived I put it down immediately and my sanity was restored! I love how it looks like frosted cut glass which lets in lots of light even on a cloudy day! Instead of applying the foil from the bottom up, we applied it from the top down, and we love the cascading floral effect. Note: This is not the first window fastener we use. Your chances of a successful installation depend on (1) a clean window - we used 409 all-purpose cleaner, (2) removing the backing - it was easier to do this with two people, one holding and the other pulling, ( 3) Spray water on the window when applying - if you don't have enough you may get too many air bubbles, (4) Spray water on the top of the film - this will help the squeegee move smoothly across the film. This particular film did not come with a mesh so I was unable to measure and cut before applying. Be sure to replace the blade if using a utility knife or box cutter. Also have scissors handy in case the blade doesn't make a clean cut the first time. Don't be afraid to spray more water if you need to peel off the film to get a better cut.
