Review on Gates 31842 Fuel Tank Cap by Randy Albright

Purchased after receiving the note "This item is suitable for your car”. I went to install and followed the instructions carefully. I waited for it to click three times, turned the key on the lock and pulled the key out. I decided to check it out and when I turned to unlock it, the cap came off immediately. I've tried this several times and the same result. The cap popped right off. I went to the auto zone and asked for help because I might have done something wrong. The worker came out and the same results. I'm not sure if it was defective or if it just didn't match the description.
