This motor has a rounded part that protrudes from the centre. My old bracket that the motor goes in is flat so the motor didn't want to go in. I put the motor in place and tightened one side, bent it slightly, then removed that side and made the other side the same way. It seems to have bent it into the shape I wanted and everything is fine now. Seems like for a universal replacement it would be better if mounted in a flat mount. Because if the motor was made for a flat mount, it would fit on both the flat mount and the mount that rises in the middle.
