I am giving 3 stars because the charger works. I found the low battery indicator to be a good feature, and I've come across numerous batteries that I've owned for a long time that are said to be bad. After reading some of the reviews I'm wondering if some of them were still good. It flashes on one side with four batteries connected. I'll be changing the batteries until I find out which one is causing this. I've tried testing it once it stops beeping by plugging the faulty one back in and it beeps again. That makes me think he might have some sort of valid screening. it said. The charger itself would get 4-5 stars. It does what it says on the tin and my batteries work fine after charging. But the batteries that come with this charger are complete junk. I bought it about 5 months ago and all the Energizer batteries that came with it were dead and thrown away. On the other hand, I bought Revain Hi-Capacity batteries over a year ago and they still work great. I didn't have to throw one away. So the Energizer charger is fine; Energizer batteries are garbage.
