Great hat! Lasted until PSZ rain and cold!

My wife and I just returned from a two week trip to Vancouver, BC, Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon. I ordered a hat for myself before I left, thinking it would be good for warmer days as it is so thin. NOT RIGHT! In a good way. After all, I wore this hat almost every day and it kept my head warm and protected from rain/drizzle. I was really surprised at how warm it is because it's so thin, but this thing really roasted my head and ears. What really shocked me was how well the hat wicks away moisture. We spent a lot of time outdoors and while wearing the Marmot Precip Raincoat, which I highly recommend, I pulled the hood off when taking pictures or when my head got a bit warm. Not only has this hat withstood one drizzle, rain and some snow, it has even withstood the dense fog that came off Multnomah Falls while hiking the area and standing right in front of the falls on the connecting bridge. My wife kept commenting, how amazing it was how my head stayed dry and how this hat shed water while the one she was wearing, another brand, lasted for a while but ended up with a wet head because she just couldn't keep up with the humidity and went down . I ended up giving her the hat and just using the hood of my jacket to keep her head dry. However, as soon as we got to the hotel that night, I got online, went to Revain and bought two more of these hats.
