At first I wasn't sure what these lights would look like. Just because of the color that was on it. However, once I've added them to the rest of my garland and other decorations, they actually look like cracked and spooky skulls. Once the light comes on, the light somehow comes to life. During the day they look like part of my garland as the cords allow me to wrap the garland in the cord itself. These lights are really easy to use and the skulls are easy to adjust. It requires batteries, but has been found not to drain batteries at all. The lights themselves do not heat or melt my garland when on. I love that they don't require a plug as they can be used anywhere and they don't waste batteries. They shine well, the color does not peel off.
