Considering the price, I was expecting this sweatshirt to be thicker. Instead, the fabric is just a little thicker than a heavy-weight tee-shirt. It also runs a little small. The size 7/8 fits my petite 6-year-old (who wears a 5-6 in tops) with just a little bit extra room. Measurement-wise, the top is 17.5-18 inches long and 15 inches from underarm to underarm measured flat across the chest.The fabric is soft enough to be quite comfortable but looks a little odd unless the undershirt is more fitted (see picture). The material around the twist at the bottom is unfinished, so I plan on washing this in a laundry bag to help meet it from unraveling.
