My amazing wife had an amazing job before the pandemic. She still has the same job, but because her organization has too many uncoordinated leaders giving conflicting directions, she has become a political actor. She's very skilled and they argue about how best to use her - practically - without her input! It drives her crazy. stress is pleasant. The pleasure is spoiled.
