My network is found without problems, but won't allow internet access. I can use my old adapter and it still works with no issues but it's slow so I wanted to replace it. I've tried: 1. Driver update 2. Rebooting the computer3. Turn the device off and on again4. Reboot home router 5. I checked the permissions in the router and thought something was blocking the adapter6. Modified USB7 port. I've checked online with the old adapter to see if I'm doing something wrong, but haven't found anything useful that I haven't already done8. I ran the Windows Troubleshooter, although it never found anything helpful. At the moment I don't know what to try, so I'm sending it back. Update: (11-2-2020) I got a new one and it did the same thing. exactly the same as the other. After investigating this further, I found that it doesn't just prevent the computer it's connected to from accessing the internet. Once it connects to my network, all devices on my router disconnect from the internet. I have to unplug the device from my computer and restart my router before everything works again. I was starting to think it wasn't working well with my router, so I took it to work and tried to connect to the wifi from my work laptop. BAM worked without any problems. Perfect connection and easy setup. I'm taking him home tonight to wrestle with him a little more. Upgrading my rating from 1 star to 3 because it works but not on my router.
