After reading 50% of the negative reviews and the reason for the negative reviews on this adhesive I was wary of using it; but because of the reputation of the Elmer brand, I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. Yes, it's the consistency of skim milk, and yes, the label instructions say the ingredients need to be pressed for 15-60 seconds. but the instructions also state that both surfaces must be dry and free of oil, soap, wax, paint, varnish, previously used cement and other residues; And that the repaired joint is not fully cured within 3-7 days. I fixed a valuable coffee mug with a broken handle and a fallen ceramic candle bowl. Making sure the surfaces to be joined were clean, I applied a milky glue and placed both patients in separate "pinch wrench" straps to hold them tightly together and left them untouched for several days. They have been fixed, their connections are strong and almost imperceptible. There were some "voids" in the ceramic candle bowl where tiny parts of the bowl were missing that had not been restored which I filled in with additional porcelain and vitreous cement to close the gaps and give the bowl extra strength. I'm very satisfied with this product. .
