Very weak lock compared to the traditional lock I used before. I would agree as the lock was meant to be daunting but then when I placed the lock on the gate the code numbers were pointing to the ground making them unreadable. Common sense dictates to just turn the lock, but I've tried turning the lock to a different position so the numbers can be read, but due to the round shape, it can't be turned over so the numbers can be read. There's just no way. This prevented a caretaker who needed access from opening the lock easily and efficiently. In the end I decided to make a duplicate key for the existing thick lock and return this cheap, unreadable lock for a refund.
