We bought a 50" Samsung LED LCD TV to mount on a 36" TV trolley. The TV cart is an old cart made for tube TVs. This is a wide cart with a closed body. A 50 inch TV fits well on this cart. The TV panel itself sticks out a few inches on each side, but there's plenty of room on the cart at the base of the TV. However, Samsung's standard base/stand was pretty flimsy with a single central mounting point covered in plastic. The entire TV swayed as the car moved. That made us a little nervous. I've looked at trolleys with wheels made specifically for large widescreen flat screen TVs - quality ones cost well over $200. We've already bought a Griffin Flat Panel TV cart that goes well with a 55" TV, but really didn't want to spend money on another when we had these lovely TV carts that weren't being used. I crossed the Atlantic 63607103. Desktop tv stand, it seemed to stabilize the tv well. I was concerned about the specs saying it can handle TVs up to 42 inches. I am happy to report that the information is incorrect and this stand WORKS PERFECTLY! The 50 inch Samsung is now extremely stable on a CRT TV cart. It is not true that this stand is only suitable for TVs up to 42 inches. I didn't even set the tv stand to the highest level and our 50 inch tv cost more than the standard tv stand that came with it. I think this Atlantic stand will easily support a 60 inch TV. I mean, a 42" TV will never come with a mounting distance of 600mm! Our 40 inch Samsung has a mounting distance of 200 x 200 mm. This 50 inch size is 400mm x 400mm. I also didn't use plastic lids. I love the look of bare metal and it makes the stand look nice and elegant. I can only recommend this table stand! It's a good price under $25.
