At this price there is nothing to complain about. I lent an inexperienced mate a D5500 and got the 18-55mm to make his life easier. Versatile range, lens stabilization, and even a lens hood. I wanted him to care more about shooting than trying to zoom with his feet or switching to other lenses in his bag. This is a great lens if you have enough light to dim it a bit and can blur the background due to its ability to focus up close. He had a lot of cool shots where he could focus close to the subject and focus even further away on the next.
