I have to agree with a previous reviewer who said some of the materials were disappointing. This is my 3rd dollhouse and the quality of some parts was not good enough; there was a lot of paper, as opposed to cardboard and wood, and there was no pattern at all. I had to use my tape measure for all the fabric cutouts. Speaking of which, one of my fabric pieces was missing (the red checkered fabric); I had to use my own fabric for the computer chair and extra white linen fabric for the bookshelf. Also the "frame" of the house is not ideal. I have a few gaps in places that should sit flush, but that doesn't matter as there are many things in the house that can be overlooked. The instructions were much poorer compared to other dollhouse kits. I do not recommend this dollhouse for beginners. After all, there is no music box/clockwork here. The original description said it came with a music box, but I didn't have one. Usually the music box is in a plastic bag together with the battery compartment. Instead, I received a battery box that was left without any protection whatsoever, with the battery door security panel not attached. In the end I was happy with the result but minor annoyances prevented me from giving this dollhouse a full 5 stars.
