"REAL " projector!

I think it's best to start this review by saying I think this is a REAL projector. I mean, it doesn't look like it was assembled in a back room somewhere. Comes very well packaged in a very large box. It looks like what you buy at an electronics store. Full instructions with pictures. The design is thought through to the smallest detail. The setup menus are well organized and easy to understand. I should also mention that this projector is big...very big. This is my fourth projector and it's a lot bigger than the others. My old projector is about 8-1/2" wide and 6-1/2" deep. This one is about 12 inches wide and 10 inches deep! I hope it's because they gave him more room to cool down. And heavier too. For our older projectors we had a small ceiling mount that just attached to the screw hole of the projector stand. The mount couldn't hold this thing in any way. I ended up buying a new mount with adjustable arms that attach to the projector in 4 places. Like on the picture? Damn good. Very bright. Subtle color contrast. I also noticed that the lens is larger than on my old projector. I measured the lens of an old projector, it's about 2-3/4 inches in diameter. This is 3-1/2 inches in diameter. Note that I measured from the focus ring because I didn't want to touch the glass, so my measurements may vary slightly. In any case, a beautiful picture is obtained. I can't talk about the resolution because I don't care much about it and I think it has more to do with the screen. My screen is just a flat white rectangle on the wall. My biggest goal was to get a nice, bright and sharp picture from all 4 sides and corners, even when using the keystone correction. I managed this without any problems. By the way, this projector has a manual focus ring that works smoothly and well. I can't say anything about the sound as I use an external soundbar. projectors) I was looking for a new projector. It took about 3 weeks because I was looking for one that fits my needs. I needed a projector with vertical and horizontal keystone correction and a zoom function because I don't want to keep moving the ceiling mount every time I buy a new projector. I also needed something bright enough to use with the lights on in the adjacent kitchen. Note that the zoom function of this projector can only reduce (not enlarge) the image. Because of this, and also because I left the new ceiling mount in place, the painting on the wall is a few inches smaller. It's ok because I'd rather be too small than too big to fit on a wall-painted screen. Also, I don't feel like moving the projector and drilling more holes in the ceiling. I mounted it 9 to 9-1/2 feet from the screen and it gives me about an 87 inch display. Another thing I should mention is that it takes a few seconds to "warm up" when turning it on with the remote. I can count to 11 before the image appears on the screen. This projector is very important to us. A few years ago we got rid of the TV in the common room because we like the clean look with no TV cabinets and cables everywhere. This projector is our main TV so I hope it lasts a few years. As I said, this is my fourth projector. I started with cheap devices and I keep going up in price. I paid close to $200 for it and if it lasts 2 years I'm fine with it. I'm sticking with LED projectors for now because the way I see it, spending an average of $200 every 2 years on a new projector would put me more ahead than buying new bulbs if I buy the "high price". would. "-End' projector with replaceable bulb. For now I'm happy with it. If anything changes I'll post updates in this review. I always do!
