Takes a bit to get used to, but they are superior to usual laces. I use them on my mephisto walking shoes. Because they are elastic:1) I can push into the shoes without adjusting the tension, though a shoe horn makes it easier.2) I can just slip out of the shoes3) Walking is more comfortable because of the laces flex as the foot expands or contract. They are never too tight or too lose once you discover the (non-critical) optimum tension rangeWith such treatment they tend to loosen after many trips, but a few second easy readjustment fixes that.They never become untied like traditional laces and seem very durable, unlikely to break.
