I saw a yoyo maker in action on a YouTube video and decided I had to try it. I have to say, after getting used to it (the first two were sad), I find them kind of fascinating! They are easy to use and quickly turn into flowers. Due to the size of this yo-yo maker, you will receive a flower that measures approximately 45mm - just under 2 inches. I've used it with heavyweight cotton, lining, dupioni silk and stiff polyester and it has worked well with all of them - they only give slightly different effects depending on the stiffness of the fabric. Here's a hint. -- You can use the yo-yo flower either on the "front" (the side with all the creases) or on the back (mostly plain) for even more variety. And in addition to simply hot-gluing the button in the center, I made some beads in the center for an awesome look. Or try gluing a nice cabochon in the center (E-6000 is great for this). I hope you have as much fun as I do! I even made my own YouTube video on how to make them. [.]
