Review on πŸ”Ά 3M Scotch-Brite Griddle Cleaning System - Quick Clean, Heavy Duty, 3-5 Minute Cleaning, Orange by Nicole Thomas

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good for big jobs, too toxic for frequent use.

Background: I have had a Wolf pan twice in my life after moving into a house where it was already installed and used. The first was kept fairly clean (and that's why I kept it clean) but on the second the previous owner allowed a charred, hardened layer to form - so I went along with it and did the same! I always wiped it off with a wet rag but left a layer. He's never had anything like that before. One day I finally googled wolf pan care and found that I need to clean it like I used to for the first time. But where to start? The vinegar probably couldn't get over the 6-year-old carbon dioxide layer on this baby. Enter this product. It took 3 rounds (and 3 packs of chemicals) to get it as clean as possible. It couldn't get rid of the black spots you see in my photos. But he removed 98% of the raid. Hopefully I can do the rest with vinegar. The product smoked, but that was to be expected. Use a puller. What I didn't like is that my nasal passages still seem irritated after being near smoke yesterday even though I had an air vent the whole time and wasn't standing directly over it. I would recommend this product for a deep clean from time to time if you have build up, but due to chemical irritation I stick to vinegar and water for a daily clean. My before picture is actually AFTER I've scraped off the resulting black hardened/charred layer. I didn't manage to click one before scratching it off. Mine after is after 3 packs/rounds of cleaning and a coat of oil.
