Review on Munchkin Ocean Squirts Bath Pack by William Dean

It's very nice, but that's about it. I bought them to use with my baby in the pool. I docked the stars for 2 reasons. First thing I noticed after opening them for 3 hours of gentle play before even putting them in the water was that the sheep was missing color meaning my 8 month old had chewed it up. The second star disappeared because my son was squeezing the air out of the toy into my child's face and then finally squeezing the air into my face and it stank horribly! Not the smell of plastic but more of a musty rotting abomination or like when someone is very sick. That was over an hour ago and I can still taste and smell it. I was disgusted my kids breathe it. I immediately condemned them to only being toys outside and not playing with them when there is no chlorinated water, whereas I will throw them away immediately once the bathing season is over instead of just using 2 this summer and the rest use as dry. Play toys by next year as previously planned. I have a feeling mold or something worse is already there and they haven't even touched the water and haven't been open in 24 hours. I wouldn't buy these if you want a bath toy as kids tend to splash water in their mouths. The spray hole is very small and I doubt the water left in it will even dry out and lead to mold. For the sole purpose of using them in chlorinated water for 2 months I think they will do for my needs but they will end up in the bin prematurely. I'm going to boil them in a pot of water and hopefully that will at least disinfect them. I wouldn't buy it for a kid with no immune system and he's susceptible to everything. Made in China!
