Handy little vacuum! A Thanksgiving family project was to dye some white sock blanks with unsweetened Kool Aid, which was fun. Then I had to use a ball roller to make "cakes". Everything was going well until I somehow became the world champion in yarn over 1/2 skein when knitting straight from the skein. After 3 days of profanity and patience I wrapped a new ball and centered it on this spinner and finished the entire pair of socks with no problems or a bad word. I have the center in the yarn bowl which keeps it stable otherwise it will likely move or fall if left alone while pulling. The center is intentionally slightly rough to allow the yarn to twist rather than slip or tighten. Some people didn't like it, but it has a specific purpose.
