Perfect replacement for my Maytag 2000 series. The whole replacement project took 2 hours but mostly due to the tightness of my laundry room. OMG, this could be an adventure in itself. A little planning ahead will help ease that pain! You have to disassemble the dryer from the back, so it takes up a lot of space. It's also a good time to clean the lint outlet and the outside of the outlet tube, as clogging is one of the reasons it burns through. A vacuum cleaner helps. I'm not an expert, but I took a few photos of the machine and the cable connectors during disassembly and simply traced myself with the new parts. Pay special attention to the details of the sensor engraving and the cable connections. After the project was finished I did a few short tests - 10-15 minutes of running - it smelled slightly like something was burning. but after 2 days of testing it went away (the heating coil seemed to give another on the first use) and now after 2 months of daily use it continues to work great.
