When the factory installed converter failed in my 2000 4Runner and the local Toyota dealer told me it would cost $200 to replace, my search for a secondary converter led me to this part. Installation was easy and the only "extra" I needed to install was a zip tie to secure the box in the rear fender. All the plugs fit perfectly into the existing plugs in the car and the converter works as advertised and as expected. Interestingly my factory converter was mounted on the left side of the car while this hoppy converter is mounted on the right side. As a result, you really can't reuse any of the factory wiring - you need to run a new wire under the rear carpet and the new plug wire needs to run from the hitch to the fender - easy as pie.
