Review on DIY Miniature Dollhouse Kit 1:24 Scale Beachside Bungalow With Furniture And Dust Proof - Great Handmade Crafts Gift For Birthday Thanksgiving Christmas by Kerri Edwardz

Finished this kit yesterday, it's my 6th one I've assembled so far (I love these dollhouse kits). This is one of the more interesting designs, really beautifully thought out & not so "cute," with really cool artwork & awesome touches, like a retro style Marshall radio & a DeLonghi cappuccino maker! I was especially impressed with the quality of the artwork included; they used excellent quality paper & cardstock. The leaves in particular were printed on both sides of quality paper, and on a green background so the edges all look perfect even if you don't cut/glue it perfectly.On the flip side, a lot of the pieces were extremely warped, worse than any kit I've seen so far. I didn't really worry about it because for the most part you can't tell after it's all put together, but the gaps in this one were pretty bad! There are some treatments you can do before assembly if your kit has warped pieces, I just thought my glue would overpower the gaps & I was wrong.The instructions are decent, but they are not overly detailed & you have to really pay SO MUCH attention to what you're doing. Like I said, this is my 6th kit & I've never done so much so wrong because I didn't understand the instructions! All in all, I probably didn't take the time to sit down & focus, which I know is required for these things. But it's also the first kit where none of my lights will light up at all, so sad! They all passed the light test so I definitely messed up something in the final assembly. The book was no help, lol!Overall though, it's a cool kit for the price (does not include dust cover or music box, if that's important to you) and is absolutely worth it for the artwork & for all the techniques you'll learn! My favorite was the tufted leather couch, I had no idea & it was not that hard at all. Now I know how to make hangers & tiny clothes & a fancy cake & all kinds of things because of this kit.I would not recommend it if this is your very first foray into dollhouse kits, it's very intricate & hard to follow. But if you know what you're doing it's pretty cool! Bring on the next one!
