Review on ☕️ Café Olé Stainless Steel Mirror CFD Cafetière for 12 Cups by Jermale Bullion

Great French Press

I have 17 oz. Freeling and my husband managed to break the butt handle. Anyway, I wanted a slightly larger device to get two decent cups of coffee instead of one+. That's why I ordered this device. When I bought it, it was half the price of a comparably sized Freeling. Yes, he is not as heavy as Freeling. It has no additional collet around the piston. However, the fact that the handle was threaded was actually a plus for me, as the Frieling had to order new parts when it broke. When I first used Grunwerg I was amazed at how much hotter the coffee got after brewing. Notice that I'm comparing apples to apples: I'm heating water in a kettle to a certain temperature. I had also noticed that it pours better than Freeling. I like to use the coffee pot to fill the kettle and this spout is better than the Freeling where I was able to scoop water onto the counter. When I tested the Freeling a while back, I gave it four stars because it didn't have a lid that closes during brewing. Grunwerg covers the heat loss, albeit not completely, and you twist the lid to get a full fill. Because of this, the coffee is brewed at the exact temperature for the entire 4:15 minutes and definitely makes the second cup much warmer - nice and hot coffee for about an hour (not hot, but nice and warm). was slightly heavier than Freeling. I don't let my husband wash it - he bends the (more fragile) parts of the filter. I hold the rod with a rubber can opener and have no problem unscrewing the filter parts. This non-slip shelf liner works well too. I ordered spare parts for Frieling and use it in the office. But I find the Grunwerg's performance superior to the Frieling for actually brewing the coffee and keeping it hot. A great french press for the price.
