Review on KYB SM5451 Strut Mount Kit by Kris Martin

I used this bracket on my 2007 Chevy Aveo. There is no squeak and the mount fits my 333418 KYB GR-2 shocks perfectly. My only concern is that when I took the car off the lift, I noticed a small gap at the top of the bracket. I suspect this is because the material used for this mount is softer than the OEM and is probably most noticeable when all the weight is on the suspension. This may or may not be an issue for heavier vehicles. I will keep an eye on it! ***Update*** As said, it has a small gap at the top of the mount. The mount acts like cotton wool and the car is sandwiched between them. If the bracket is not properly secured, the integrity of the suspension will be compromised. The gap is not the result of improper installation, I actually ran out of screw threads before running out of space. and I used all the KYB parts including the shocks, struts, dusters and brackets so it's not about the details. It's like the parts aren't even compatible with each other! Now my wheels keep slipping. Looks like I'll have to go back to standard bindings just like I went back to standard shoes. SAVE YOUR MONEY!
