The product description says it can hold up to 22 pounds. The packaging the product arrived in states that it supports up to 13.23 lbs. I've tried this with two laptops -- a 5.68-pound laptop that's 1 inch thick, 15.08 inches wide, and 10.43 inches deep -- and a 3.53-pound laptop with one At 0.8 inches thick, 13.1 inches wide, and 9 inches deep, it seems solid enough for a 3.53-pound laptop, but not for a 5.68-pound laptop. The shelf it sits on feels too wobbly for the heavier weight and I wouldn't risk damaging my laptop if the stand fails. If it's not strong enough for a 5.68-pound 15-inch laptop, it doesn't support a larger, heavier laptop like the product description claims.
