Review on ๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ Graco TrueCoat 360 DS Paint Sprayer 17A466: The Ultimate Solution for Efficient Painting by Chris Morgan

Graco delivered a quality product!

I am a professional painter and have several Graco commercial sprayers. I've tried other similar sprayers, Wagner, etc., and they all had the same problem: they couldn't handle the viscosity of the latex paint. They ended up spitting paint. I had some interior work to do with a set of windows so I decided to try the Graco Tru-Coat DS. I was expecting that if they put their name on it it would have to be on the case. It was! I am very happy with all aspects of this gun. Sprays paint correctly on both high and low settings. Being used to spraying, I prefer high settings. I noticed that the pistol has a bit of momentum, which is to be expected given the technology. Although this did not affect the quality of the finish. For an aspiring DIY artist, all I can say is practice, practice, practice. The most common mistake is moving too slowly, which leads to jogging. This gun ejects at least 10 times more paint than a spray can, so you'll need to move fast. If it takes you more than 15 seconds to paint an average window frame, then you're working too slowly. I painted 7 large windows and 1 door in 15 minutes including one refill stop. This is best for small jobs, cabinets, furniture, interior trim, windows, door panels, fences, sheds, etc. I would never use it for an entire house. Outside. You'll have to reload too often and probably wear out the weapon. Better to rent a commercial model for that. It will turn a great nightmare into a fun simple quest. Cleaning isn't hard, but I'm used to cleaning a large syringe, which can take about 30 minutes. All in all a great product. I don't know how long it will last, but I'll probably replace it with a $700 rebuildable model if it dies.

Pros
  • ADJUSTABLE SPEED: The dual speed setting gives you 2 spray speeds; low speed for small parts and high speed for faster completion of large projects
Cons
  • Some small things
