Before I start my review I thought I should give the US Postal Service a quick nod, nice job fixing any email, you get, keep up the work, consistent work. However, I received them in good condition, despite the USPS' best efforts to destroy the box. I bought these to use on a 1969 Schwinn Typhoon I built and installed a more modern wheelset with bigger tires to make pedaling a bit easier when I ride a lot. Some new parts were also needed while the original parts were being restored; nothing beats the original wheels if they're oval, the same goes for the original fenders, so until they're restored he'll get them. Make a few small bends in them as the frame was a bit narrower than them. I did this by placing a microfiber cloth over the area that needed bending to protect it from scratches and holding an adjustable crescent wrench on it before gradually bending it a bit until I got the bend I wanted. As long as you're only making small turns they're very forgiving if you need to reverse a corner, so I don't hesitate to change them if they don't quite fit, although I believe they'll probably fit most modern bikes, for which this advice mainly applies to those who use them on older bikes. I really liked that they already have a crease on the rear fender where the chain goes so the chain doesn't rub them. As others have said, the pan head screws are a bit annoying when held on the support arms. Be careful and patient when installing them to avoid scratches, but I like the look of the pan head screws more than a Phillips or Robertson so I can appreciate their aspect. I wish they had another hole in the rear fender for a bolt that can go through the fender and stays over the frame of the bike like mine did, although I figured that hole could make a huge difference depending on the bike, so I can also see why it might not be enabled. There's nothing a drill can't fix when you need it. With the included hardware, they fit like a brick. Overall it took me about 3 hours to install them but be aware that I had to bend them, be careful not to slip off the screws and scratch them and I also made sure to tighten all the pan head screws aligned the same (because I thought so). It was worth getting it right) etc. I also spent some time fine tuning them to have the same clearance on both sides of the tire and height from the tire all the way around. But even then, after sitting in front of the TV for 3 hours at night and working on it before bed, I had a great end result, ready for the next morning! The chrome looks great (think of the black versions too), affordable and well built with good materials. I recommend to everyone. Multiple photos included; one of the bikes in general, one where I bent the front fender and one where I bent the fender. TL version: DR; This is a great product and easy to modify if necessary, but be proud of your bike and take the time to install it properly and carefully.
