This USB 3.1 cable meets Oculus link cable requirements, as verified by cable tests run by the Oculus software. It also works as expected when used for both Oculus and Steam VR connected to my RTX 2070's USB-C port. After reading other reviews suggesting that it's prone to mechanical damage, presumably due to juddering, I applied a small amount of superglue (cyanoacrylate) between the metal connectors and their plastic surround to make them as strong as possible, but that didn't help prevent the cable connection from becoming detached after a few weeks of minimal use. Instead, I recommend a more durable 16-inch USB-C to USB-A cable, since plugging the link cable into the motherboard instead of the graphics card doesn't result in a significant performance hit.
