Review on 🔌 1 YEAR WARRANTY IcetechCo LED Light for Whirlpool Refrigerators, Compatible with WPW10515057, AP6022533, PS11755866 (Model: W10515057-3021141) by Joshua Mejia

In July 2016, I paid $1,000 for my 106.51132 210 Side-by-Side Kenmore Fridge Freezer. The freeze light (which this part replaces) went out shortly after the 13 month warranty expired, so I didn't fix it. Then a few weeks ago both refrigerators went out at the same time. Sears/Kenmore charged $99 to have someone come take a look, plus labor and parts to fix it. A quick parts cost search revealed that the WPW10515058 main refrigerator light (instead of W10515058) would cost $185.90 and the WPW10515057 freezer light (instead of W10515057) would cost $100.00. DIY sites also state two things: (1) the fridge assist light (also WPW10515057) will most likely come back on after the fridge main light is replaced, and (2) the brightness of the fridge main light may depend on the light of the freezer is working properly. Both have come true. I made sure both lights were easy to remove and then ordered replacement Icetech W10515058 and Icetech W10515058 (this part). At her direction, I unplugged the fridge switch (easier than unplugging it), pulled out the old one with a flathead screwdriver, disconnected the wires, plugged them back into the new part, and installed it. When flipping the switch, the fridge auxiliary light worked great and the main fridge light at about 80% brightness, which is probably all I got from the original part. I then repeated the process with the Icetech W10515057 replacement (this part) which also worked perfectly and the fridge light replacement now works at 100% brightness. I believe I saved about $300 in parts and labor on both lights by using this solution, plus the satisfaction of doing it myself. I'm giving it 4 stars for value because it's really insane that a glorified fridge lightbulb is 10-20% of the cost of the entire unit.
