The light in the freezer has gone out and the refrigerator has become very dark. It turned out to be the culprit. I thought it might be worth trying to fix the problem. It worked. At least the light in the freezer was fine. This was the culprit. This one seems to be controlling the other as well.

If you buy this product to replace your fridge lights, you must replace all the lights in your fridge, otherwise the one you just replaced will burn out! Very frustrating but reading when you buy this lamp you will need to replace all 3 lamps in the fridge when they fail.

Much has been written about this problem with Whirlpool refrigerators. I read a ton before ordering this. Most said the light in the freezer was the key to repairing it. I have followed all the instructions. I got out the fridge and turned off the power. I replaced the freeze bulb with this "light bulb". Ideal! All lights worked! FOR 5 MINUTES Don't Do This Again Don't Buy Whirlpool Again!

Poor Light in My Freezer It took 10 minutes to pull the fridge out of the wall. Disable it. Then change light. A connection. Only fits one way, so you can't reverse polarity. The hardest part was getting both hands deep enough in the freezer to connect the plug to the light box. The helpful tips on what to check in the parts description were very helpful in determining what parts I needed to solve this small problem.

The lighting works great but seems a bit expensive compared to the materials and likely low cost of production. There were two lamps in my block that I could find. My problem with this product is not with Revain but with the refrigerator manufacturer. What happened to the good old lightbulb? Why on earth design a PCB LED lamp that looks like a control module for a NASA lunar project and charge a price that reflects the same mentality! Furthermore, most consumers will not want to try to replace this product and then they will have to pay the repairman on top of the exorbitant price for the product. Shame on the producers!

I just installed two of these; one in the freezer and one in the fridge. I also installed an Icetech Co W10515058 ceiling light (2 pin) as some YouTube reviews and videos strongly recommend it. So I spent a little over $200 on 3 new light blocks for my Kenmore, which is about 6 years old.
